SPENVIA LLC ("SPENVIA," "we," "us") provides Remissure (the "App"), a personal health journal that helps you track bioactive nutrition, medical test results, and health metrics. This Privacy Policy explains what information Remissure handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. We built Remissure as a privacy-first, local-first app: by default, your health information stays on your device, and when sync is enabled it stays in your own personal iCloud account.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@spenvia.com.
Company: SPENVIA LLC
Product: Remissure (iOS application)
Contact: support@spenvia.com
Website: https://spenvia.com/remissure
Remissure stores the information you choose to enter. You are not required to create an account or share any of this with us — it is stored only on your device (and optionally your iCloud account, see Section 4):
Profile information: first and last name, date of birth, biological sex, ethnicity (optional), height and weight.
Profile photo: an optional image you select from your photo library.
Health and fitness data: medical test results and biomarkers you log (such as cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, vitamins), body composition entries (weight, body fat, lean mass), and food log entries.
Sensitive health information: family medical history (cardiovascular, cancer, diabetes, kidney) and lifestyle factors (smoking status, alcohol intake, stress level, dietary preferences) that you optionally enter to personalize health insights.
App preferences: unit system, dietary preferences, calorie and macronutrient goals, notification preferences.
Remissure does not collect a user ID, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or device identifier for advertising. There is no account system; the app uses on-device biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) for access control.
Remissure stores the information described above in Apple's Core Data framework on your device. Sensitive medical records are additionally encrypted at rest using AES-GCM symmetric encryption with HMAC-SHA-256 integrity verification (Apple's CryptoKit). The encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain and protected by your device passcode and, when enabled, your Face ID or Touch ID.
When you delete the App from your device, iOS removes all locally stored Remissure data.
Remissure uses Apple's CloudKit framework to synchronize your data across the devices signed into the same Apple ID, so that your food logs, test results, and profile stay consistent across, for example, your iPhone and iPad.
Your data is synchronized to your own private CloudKit database under your Apple ID.
SPENVIA does not have access to your iCloud private database. We cannot read, copy, or otherwise see the data you store in Remissure. Apple manages the encryption, transport, and storage on its servers.
iCloud sync can be disabled at the system level (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Remissure).
When you disable sync or sign out of iCloud, the data already stored locally on the device remains; Apple may retain a copy in your iCloud private database according to its own privacy policy.
For details on how Apple handles iCloud data, see Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Remissure makes targeted requests to a small number of food and nutrition databases so you can search and add foods to your log. These requests contain only the food query text or barcode you enter — no health, biometric, profile, or identifying information about you is transmitted.

Remissure makes no other network requests for analytics, advertising, attribution, crash reporting, or tracking. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in Remissure.
Remissure offers optional consumable "tip" purchases ("Coffee," "Supporter," "Founding Supporter") that you may choose to purchase to support continued development. These purchases are processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. SPENVIA does not receive your payment card information, billing address, or Apple ID; we are only notified by Apple that a purchase succeeded. Your purchase history is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Remissure provides export and import features so you can move your data:
Export: generates a file (CSV/JSON) containing your data, saved to a location you choose (e.g., Files, iCloud Drive, share sheet to another app). Once the file leaves Remissure, that copy is governed by the destination's privacy practices, not ours.
Import: reads a file you select (e.g., a Fitbit weight export) and adds the entries to your Remissure log. The file is read locally; nothing is sent to SPENVIA or any third party.
Remissure is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Remissure to enter health information without parental consent, contact support@spenvia.com so we can advise on how to delete the data.
Because Remissure does not transmit your health data to SPENVIA, most of these rights you exercise directly on your device:
Access: all your data is visible inside the App.
Edit: edit any entry from inside the App.
Delete an entry: delete individual entries from the relevant tab.
Delete all data: delete the App from your device. To also remove the iCloud copy: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Remissure → Delete Data.
Disable sync: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Remissure (toggle off).
Disable biometric lock: Profile → Security in the App.
If you are a resident of California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants additional rights (such as the right to portability or to lodge a complaint with a regulator), the rights apply to data held by SPENVIA. As described above, SPENVIA does not hold your health data. If you have questions about this, contact support@spenvia.com.
Remissure protects your data through a combination of:
iOS app sandboxing (Apple's standard process isolation).
On-device encryption of sensitive medical records using AES-GCM with HMAC integrity verification (Apple CryptoKit).
Encryption keys stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by device passcode and biometrics.
Optional Face ID or Touch ID lock to open the App.
Apple's CloudKit transport encryption when iCloud sync is enabled.
No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect that your device has been compromised or your data exposed, take the same precautions you would for any sensitive data on the device — such as changing your Apple ID password and reviewing connected devices.
We may update this policy as Remissure changes. When we do, we will:
Update the Last Updated date at the top.
For material changes, post a notice in the App or email a notice to anyone who has previously contacted support@spenvia.com about it.
Continued use of Remissure after a change means you accept the updated policy.
